Purdue University researchers have recently updated their nitrogen fertilizer recommendations for corn. The new guidelines are the result of a 13-year research project evaluating nitrogen response across the state.

Nitrogen rate recommendations are based on economic assumptions regarding nitrogen cost and grain price, as well as a nitrogen response curve for different geographic regions. The state is broken down into nine geographic regions. More information on the new guidelines can be found here.
